Lots of fun at Paul Belsito & Steven Roche's  beautiful new Filmmakers' Gallery in Long Beach where "The Sound of Music" star Charmian Carr was the special guest signing her best selling book  "Forever Leisl" & launching her beautiful new safari chair.  It was great to meet & interview the lovely, warm & charming Ms. Carr on the red carpet -  her performance as  oldest daughter Leisl in the iconic musical film is so great & memorable.  Guests were treated to a delicious gourmet brunch, coffee & mimosas.   It was great to see Paul's very warm family, director Gary Takesian & my pals Kat Kramer & Karen Sharpe Kramer who came in from Los Angeles for the event.  One of the most pleasant surprises of the day was fan Ian Aquino who arrived with his wife to have Ms. Carr sign a guitar which has all the signatures of the famous Von Trapp children cast members on it.  Lucky guy!  Thanks for another great event Filmmakers' Gallery! Harrison Held's SceneAroundTown.... SoCal's Only Frozen Holiday Adventure....CHILL Dazzles at The Queen Mary in Long Beach

Last nite I attended the opening of CHILL at The Queen Mary in Long Beach  - a very impressive, beautiful family friendly holiday event which will be open every day through January 5th 2014.  I highly recommend it for your next outing!  There's an abundance of fun things to do at CHILL starting with The Ice Kingdom featuring Nutcracker inspired themes made from more than two million pounds of sparkling ice. Brrrrr.....it really is cold in there - a  beautiful winter wonderland has been created right here in Southern California.  The Ice Kingdom features a 24 foot tall Queen Mary ship & slide & is kept at a very chilly 9 degrees Fahrenheit. Guests are provided with warm parkas to wear.  There's also fun ice skating with the majestic Queen Mary as the backdrop & a thrilling 6 lane ice tubing area made completely of ice.  Guests can enjoy live entertainment plus many holiday theme characters too.   There's an abundance of delicious eateries also.  Thanks to Ashley Eckenweiler & her friendly staff at The ACE Agency for the warm hospitality.  For more information visit www.QueenMary.com -  Following my fun visit at CHILL I enjoyed touring the classic & unique Queen Mary which is full of interesting historical background information.
