I had a terrific time covering the Hollywood Arts Council's 26th Annual Charlie Awards held in the beautiful historic Blossom Room of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.  It was my first time and it was great.  The Charlie's were hosted by ABC 7's George Pennacchio, one of my favorite and most knowledgable Entertainment Reporters.  The Hollywood Arts Council's  Charlie's helps to support Project S.O.A.R.  - "Students Overcoming All Risks" in the Hollywood area.  I recently attended a Project S.O.A.R. event  & was amazed by the work it does by sharing the arts with elementary students - Project S.O.A.R. supports much needed no-cost after school arts workshops for at risk, under-served children in Hollywood public schools.  The invaluable training these kids receive free of charge helps them develop into well rounded, happy people.   Eric Garcetti, President, Los Angeles City Council said: "The Hollywood Arts Council has been a critical partner in revitalizing Hollywood through a variety of advocacy work, including free public arts events and after school programs such as Project S.O.A.R.  serving the culturally, economically and socially diverse area of Hollywood...  the Arts Council has not only lived up to its mission of promoting, nurturing and supporting the arts, it has gone above and beyond the vision to reintroduce the arts to local business and residential communities."  For more information please visit www.HollywoodArtsCouncil.org ....  See you at next year's Charlie Awards! Was It Good?

Happy Tom's on Sunset in  Silverlake....   Was It Good?

Yep...

Kim Kardashian: But Can She Bake A Cake?

Last nite's "flour attack" on Kim Kardashian is just about the stupidest thing I've heard of in a long time. I'm not a major fan but I'm no hater either. The incident took place at the London Hotel in West Hollywood where Kim was promoting her new fragrance. The woman who threw the "flour bomb" was detained and then released. Apparently Kim doesn't want to press charges. I think that sends a message to crazy people out there that it is acceptable to assault others and is it not. If she were to press charges Kim and the Kardashian family would be called
bitches and a bunch of other nasty things and would get a lot of bad publicity. But like I said before it opens the door to other crazies to act out their anger in unacceptable ways... sad, very sad.... Have a Good & Peaceful Friday Friends... Flower Power not flour power... HH
