Erin Peneda, Tom Fonns,  Kat Kramer & Brendan Hunt

I had a blast last nite with Kat Kramer at the opening of the terrific new play "Bunny Bunny: Gilda Radner: A Sort of Love Story"  at Garry Marshall's beautiful Falcon Theater in Toluca Lake.  What a great production about the funny sweet friendship of the late Gilda Radner & her best pal writer Alan Zweibel who met when they both started at SNL.  The A-List must see play features a great cast -  Erin Peneda as Gilda,  Brendan Hunt as Zweibel & Tom Fonns  as 'Everyone Else' & is very well directed by Dimitri Toscas.  Kat & I both loved it - it really is sweet, poignant & very funny.  Kat is busy preparing her new one woman show where she will sing & play different characters inspired very much by Gilda Radner & her pal Lily Tomlin plus many other women stars of comedy.  Lily Tomlin will be headlining Gilda Fest in Michigan in early March which sounds like it will be a lot of fun - I'd love to go Lily... hint, hint ha ha ha...   Kat's colorful new show will be full of lots of surprises & have a little preview in Palm Springs in late March will I am looking forward to seeing also!  Adryan Russ wrote some new lyrics for the "Mad World" theme song she will be performing. Kat's Dad was legendary filmmaker Stanley Kramer who helmed "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World"- her God Mother was Katharine Hepburn who starred in Stanley's landmark film "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner".  There's a lot of talent in her family...  Her \Mom Karen Sharpe Kramer won a Golden Globe for John Wayne's "The High & the Mighty" as best newcomer in 1952 & her sister Jennifer is a talented writer, composer & musician!  Good luck with new show Ms. Kramer....  It sounds great!  HH
